Abstract: The molecular motions of 4-aminopyridinium and pyrrolidinium cations in new ferroics were discussed. The results for the second moment of nuclear magnetic resonance lines were compared with the values of M2 calculated from the van Vleck formula, taking into account the molecular structure obtained from the X-ray diffraction study. The subsequent reorientations in the molecules with increasing temperature from 30 to 400 K, low angle liberation, and the isotropic rotations of the whole molecules were presented. The activation parameters of the intramolecular reorientations on different crystallographic phases were also determined.
